Worry Dolls

Worry-dolls guidelines for the Interested Collector:

Because of the nature of the materials (wrapped thread, and lots of it), some familiar and favorite characters will be too difficult to attempt as worry-dolls. The best styles for the pins include closer fitting, more modern types of dress. Jeans and shirts, school uniforms, flightsuits and the like are all possible to emulate pretty accurately. Flowing robes, ball gowns, capes and dresses are not very convincing wrapped tightly around a wire frame.

So, while Relena (Gundam Wing) in her sweater and leggings look would work well, Queen of the World Relena in the ballgown would not. Excel and Hyatt (Excel Saga) would take a little creativity, but could be done, while Ilpallatzo-sama (who we all have to admit, is wearing living room draperies) would be nigh impossible.

Worry-dolls are about 2 1/4 inches tall, with some minor variation. They all come with a standard 1" locking pin glued to the back; to attach the doll to clothes, bags, etc. Some care must be taken with the dolls. They are not machine washable or waterproof, and if treated roughly will fray and unravel. If handled gently, they should last for a very long time.

I charge $10 for each worry doll, but if you buy four of them at the same time, I will give you a fifth for free. Shipping is usally around $2-4 dollars, depending on how many dolls are in the order.
